Saint Dizier la Tour Non-Fiction Writing Workshops

Join us in Saint-Dizier-la-Tour for friendly, practical non-fiction writing workshops designed to get you writing, experimenting and creating.

Our Saint-Dizier-la-Tour workshops focus on short pieces of creative non-fiction — from personal stories and memoir-style pieces to articles, essays and blog posts. Each month we explore a different theme, using the same simple workshop structure so that the process quickly becomes familiar and you can concentrate on the most important part — the writing itself.

Each session includes a small amount of practical guidance on the craft of non-fiction writing, followed by four prompts designed to help you explore the month’s theme from different angles. There’s plenty of writing time along the way, and by the end of the workshop, you’ll leave with the first draft of a complete piece.

What that piece becomes is entirely up to you. It might develop into an article, blog post, memoir piece, personal essay or simply a piece of writing created for the pleasure of capturing a story, memory or experience.

The Saint-Dizier-la-Tour group is a brand-new, small and friendly group starting in January 2027. It’s open to writers of all levels, including complete beginners, and there’s no ongoing commitment — every session stands alone, so simply choose the themes that appeal to you.

Workshops usually take place on the third Friday of each month. Please check the individual dates when booking, as occasional sessions may vary.

Advance booking isn’t essential — you’re always welcome to simply turn up on the day, subject to space. However, if you’d prefer to secure your place and pay in advance, select your chosen workshop from the options above.

Please bring something to write with and whatever you prefer to write on — notebook, laptop, or tablet are all absolutely fine.
