Coming Up in December…
December 1, 2024
Is ‘xmas’ trying to take Christ out of Christmas?
December 11, 2024Have you ever stared at a blank screen, wondering what to post next?
Yeah. Me too.
One of the things I notice about authors - and indie authors in particular - is that they hate marketing. I get it. It's not my favourite thing either, though the more I learn, the more I enjoy it.
Marketing can feel overwhelming - especially when you'd rather spend your time writing. That’s why I created the Novice to Novelist Super Awesome Social Media Calendar for Indie Authors 2025!
Long-winded title, right? I've always been a wordy so-and-so. Anyway, I designed it with one specific thing in mind: to help indie authors who are stuck for ideas, lack time, or experience that dreaded writer's block.
One of the biggest mistakes I see new authors make in terms of marketing is blindly sharing 'buy my book' posts to the same people over and over. Or worse, they spam writers' groups that are full of other indie authors doing exactly the same thing and not engaging with anyone else.
It doesn't work. And if it doesn't work, it's an epic waste of time.
So what should you do instead?
Well, there are more details in the calendar itself, but try making connections and building an audience instead. Sure, you want to share a couple of 'buy my book' posts. Yes, you want to rave about all your hard work and success. But try doing more than that. Try sharing fun information, hints and tips, and posts that your followers can engage with as well.
That's where the Super Awesome Social Media Calendar for Indie Authors comes in. The calendar is packed with daily prompts you can easily tailor to your voice and style - whether you're crafting posts, reels, or carousels for Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, or beyond. It's structured for stress-free posting, as often as you like.
And the best thing of all? I’m offering it for free until the end of January 2025 because I know how challenging it is to navigate marketing as a new author (yep, been there, done that). Think of this as my way of giving back to the indie author community.
